Verify The Base
Before paving we verify the solidity of the driveway's base and substrate, adding Class 5 rock if necessary.

Allow Compaction Time
If a re-base is performed, the new structure sets for 5-7 days to allow sufficient compaction before paving.

Clean And Prime
We clean the affected area thoroughly and apply asphalt tack coat, a primer that acts as glue between the new and existing asphalt.

Pour And Tamp
Hot-mix asphalt is poured into the voids, then raked, feathered, and tamped to compact the material and finalize the repair.

A Temporary Overlay will last anywhere from 1-3 years. It is a common and cost-effective repair, ideal for driveways with a low spot, a small amount of cracking, or minor deterioration.
Also referred to as a cutout, a premium repair addresses the structural issue at the foundation and is guaranteed to last longer than your actual driveway. We cut out the affected area and either re-compact the existing foundation or add new base material, then tamp it with a plate compactor before applying tack coat and hot-mix asphalt.
Infrared repair uses radiated heat, much like a toaster, to bring the asphalt to a working temperature of about 350 degrees. The area is raked to remove failed asphalt, a rejuvenator is applied to replenish lost oils, and additional material is added and tamped as needed. It is not ideal for areas that require foundational repairs.
In most cases the new asphalt will not match the aged color of the driveway. For that reason we recommend sealcoating the driveway following your asphalt repairs.
