Stops Further Damage
A thorough repair keeps trapped moisture from spreading damage across the surrounding pavement.
Drain Right. Protect the Lot.
When the asphalt around a catch basin starts to heave, sink, or shift, the problem is usually moisture trapped underneath. BorderLines repairs catch basins thoroughly so the damage stops there instead of spreading across your lot. In most cases, replacing the riser rings and repairing the surrounding asphalt fixes the problem.
Using a diamond saw blade, we cut the pre-measured asphalt surrounding the catch basin.
The cut asphalt is removed and hauled to a recycling center.
We remove and replace the damaged riser rings, verify the mortar joints, and add tuck points if necessary.
We excavate, add Class 7 rock as needed, and tamp it to create a solid foundation.
Hot asphalt mix is added and compacted to match the existing grade.
A catch basin is part of the sewer system. It catches debris from water runoff before that debris can enter the drain pipes.
Repairs are needed when moisture gets trapped under the asphalt around the basin, causing the pavement to heave, sink, or shift.
In most cases, no. Simply replacing the riser rings supporting the catch basin and repairing the asphalt around it will fix the problem.
After we saw cut the pre-measured area, we remove the asphalt and haul it to a recycling center.
Regular catch basin maintenance is recommended for safety and to prevent larger repair costs down the road.
