Crack Sealing

Stop Water. Stop Damage.

At BorderLines, we dedicate the proper time and care to effectively seal cracks so your paved property lasts for years to come. Regular crack sealing is the most important thing you can do in preventative pavement maintenance. Left untreated, water and moisture trapped in cracks cause erosion that jeopardizes the integrity of the structure and leads to large repair costs.

MnDOT-Spec Materials

Our crack fillers meet or exceed Minnesota Department of Transportation specifications for roadway crack fillers.

Built For Minnesota

The asphalt rubber is specially formulated to withstand the freezing and warming of Minnesota seasons.

Stays Flexible

Heated to 400°F, the rubber remains pliable even after it has fully cured.

Crack Jet Heat Lance

Our Commercial Crack Sealing Process

  1. 1

    Clean The Cracks

High-powered blowers and a Crack Jet heat lance remove vegetation and debris from each crack.

  2. 2

    Dry For Adhesion

The heat lance dries the crack to optimize adhesion between the rubber and the pavement.

  3. 3

    Rout Where Recommended

Where recommended, a machine cutter routs along the cracks to make more room between the pavement and rubber.

  4. 4

    Fill At 400°F

Rubber heated to 400°F fills the crack completely so water cannot enter.

  5. 5

    Apply Silica Sand

Black silica sand is applied immediately to prevent tracking while the rubber cures.
